Nigeria’s Vice President, Osinbajo, Postpones Nationwide Financial Council Assembly As APC Holds NEC On Thursday

Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has postponed a digital assembly of the Nationwide Financial Council earlier scheduled for Thursday.

The NEC, chaired by the Vice President, has all state governors and some related ministers as members.

That is coming a number of hours after President Muhammadu Buhari introduced that he would attend the Nationwide Government Committee assembly of the All Progressives Congress, which Victor Giadom mounted for Thursday. 


The Everlasting Secretary/Secretary, NEC, Olusola Idowu, introduced the postponement in a memo tagged “radio message” dated June 24, 2020 and addressed to all state governors.

The message was titled: Discover of postponement of the 105th (fifth in 2020) assembly of the Nationwide Financial Council.

“Chairman of council, His Excellency, Prof Yemi Osinbajo (SAN), GCON, has directed that the NEC digital assembly earlier scheduled for Thursday, June 25, 2020 has been postponed,” the message learn.
